Spiced black tea · Somali shaah tradition

Shaah that
tastes like home

× Cloves × Ginger × Cinnamon

Strong black tea with cloves, ginger and cinnamon: warm, bright and sweet in one rich cup.

The collection

Four boxes. One warm ritual.

Every Raha box holds 40 tea bags of strong black tea, blended with whole spices and tasted before it's packed. Hover a box to turn it.

The Somali shaah ritual

Not a drink.
An invitation.

Biyo
  1. Biyo Water

    Start with a rolling boil

In Somali kitchens shaah begins on the stove, not in a cup. Water comes up to a proper boil, the same 100°C we print on every Raha box.

  2. Shaah Tea & spice

    Let the spices bloom

Strong black leaf goes in with the warm spices families have used for generations: cinnamon, clove and ginger. Raha does the blending for you, one bag at a time.

  3. Caano Milk

    Pour in the milk

Milk turns the deep amber into a soft caramel. Let it rise once, then pour it from a height so it comes out with a light froth.

  4. Sonkor Sugar & company

    Sweeten it, then share it

Sugar to taste, small glasses, and whoever is around. Afternoon shaah is when the day slows down, news gets passed on and the guests stay a little longer.
